Green Privet ​

L. ovalifolium is an evergreen, upright, bushy shrub with oval, green, glossy leaves and white flowers in the summer. It has small, black, spherical fruits in autumn.

Privet is tough, adapting to relatively poor soil conditions, shade, or exposed coastal conditions. Grows well in any moist but well-drained or well-drained in sun or partial shade.

Responding well to pruning, Green Privet makes for an ideal hedge that can be kept very neat. Stop pruning in late summer to avoid frost damage on new growth.
